Our story

Role play with your manager was never the real thing.

Greenroom was founded in Sydney in 2025 to replace the way every sales team has always trained.

The old way

Every sales team trains the same way. A manager plays the buyer, a rep plays themselves, and everyone in the room pretends it is not awkward. It never feels real, so nobody behaves the way they would with an actual buyer. It depends on who is free that afternoon, so no two sessions are alike and nothing can be compared. The feedback is one person's opinion, delivered in front of colleagues, so people perform for the room instead of practising.

And the moment it ends, the only place left to practise is in front of real customers. The most expensive classroom there is.

What changed

When speech-to-speech AI became good enough to hold a real conversation, the thing sales leaders had wanted for a decade became possible: a counterpart who is the same every time, built from the real buyer's world, that you can rehearse with in private as often as you like, with a debrief written against a rubric rather than a mood. Greenroom started as a single buyer and a scorecard. It worked well enough to keep going.

Beyond the pitch

It turned out the same thing works far beyond sales calls: job interviews, the hard conversations managers put off, founders pitching investors, customer-success renewals, and anyone who wants an expert or a coach to talk to at ten at night. Comfortable, consistent, private, and scored.

The name comes from the theatre. The green room is where you get ready before you go on.
